Befunky.com is a website where you can take or upload pictures and edit them. You can add effects to your photo, change your appearance, add holiday themes, and wear accessories. Not only is it fun, but it can also be used for educaitonal purposes. For example, you are doing a report on Abraham Lincoln and with befunky.com, you can edit a picture to make yourself look just like Abraham Lincoln.

If you plan on having your students transform the pictures into cartoons you may think about creating one class account for students to use. I wanted to download the cartoon picture to my computer so that I could use them in Comic Life. This is not an option that Be Funky offers so I created my cartoon and then took a screen capture of the cartoon to save it as an image to my computer.
How to use BeFunky: Step by Step
This is how you upload a photo and edit it on befunky.com!
Step 1: After typing in befunky.com into the address bar, a page will appear with different effects you can use to edit your picture. Choose one of the effects. I will use pop art.
Step 2: After choosing an effect, click the upload button. Then coose if you want to upload or take a picture on a webcame. Browse files and choose a picture.
I chose a picture of two friends and me.
Click the pop art form you want for your picture. I will use this one.
Then save the picture by clicking save and naming the picture.
